Portraits / Selfportraits

Appearing, as had become the norm up to this time, in a gray paper cover, the current title bears the mark of mentor F. John Herbert, who proposed its theme and submitted a work. The number of pieces in this issue is greater than usual due in part to the artists’ enthusiasm for the theme. But also take it as a sign that PhotoStatic’s base of contributors was growing at the time, too.

As for the rest of the submissions, most of the artists have chosen to represent themselves: as themselves, as someone else; or someone else. This is the Portraits/Self-portraits issue. Let’s leave it at that.
